I DO NOT RECOMMEND PREMIERPOOLSANDSPAS.com!!!!!

What a nightmare!! Run Away Fast

After reviewing several estimates, I selected Premier Pools and Spas (Rancho Cordova/Sacramento, CA) as the builder for my in-ground swimming pool. What a big mistake! It was disappointment from day one of construction. The sales staff, the job scheduling staff, and the construction crews obviously do not meet with each other as they do not know what the heck is going on.

Paul porter is the owner of the company. If you can and complain in anyway he will start threatening you with a lawsuit and file made up liens on your house.

If you build a $100,000 pool you better have $500,000 extra to throw away defending a bunch of *** from Paul porter. Oh an then you will have to hire another pool company to come finish the job or mess that premier pools and spas made for you!

Here are other horror stories i wish i found before choosing this scam company!

We have Premier Pools out of Vacaville and they have turned my dream of building a pool into a nightmare! They didn't read the plans and added an extra bench around our spa spillway in addition to adding steel after the city inspector inspected it. They then had to cut the steel and chisel the gunite bench out. (this process took 2 months)! When they grouted our rock Premier Pools once again did not read the plans and they put in a light grey grout when the plans called for a black dark grout. For all their mistakes they offered us a Pebble Tec upgrade, we do not like the look of feel of Pebble Tec but we do like the Pebble Sheen. Premier Pools said they are not willing to pay for Pebble Sheen and that we would have to pay $2400 out of our pocket for our 437 sq. foot pool. I refuse to pay them any money to cover up or strengthen their mistake! Does anyone know how much Pebble Sheen costs per sq. foot? Today we decided to go to arbitration. When can we wake up from this nightmare?

We are having a pool built by Premier Pools and Spas (Rancho Cordova) and we are now four weeks past the contract completion date with new broken promises every day. Premier is a "high volume" builder which they consider a selling point, but in reality it is a real detractor as they tend to prioritize their pools based on location and cost of the pool being built. If you, like most people, just want a regular (40K) pool, prepare to wait a loooong time for it. They will tell you six weeks and write it into the contract but in reality it will be more like twelve or longer. Because they're busy building the 100K pools in four weeks. I would highly recommend writing a performance bond to complete by a certain date or face financial penalty for each day over contract. Also, ask for a construction schedule up front and make them stick to it.

I would not recommend www.PremierPoolsandspas.com due to their complete disregard for the average customer, their extreme dishonesty, and lack of quality. Our pool is not what we wanted and the concrete decking is awful and needs to be redone.

Premier Pools and spas just finished the pool in our North Natomas home and what a POOR customer service experience we had. Scheduling is totally disconnected from construction, no one knew what was going on. Workers knocked on our door at 7 am demanding pre-payment for the days work when the contract said the oposite, there is still debris in the yard that www.PremierPoolsandSpas.com wont remove, food wrappers and cans from the workers were a daily occurance. Bigger is not better, find a company who cares about customer service not just your check book!

Thank you so much for taking the time to warn folks like me looking to build a nice backyard for myself. I will look elsewhere for a more reputable pool builder.

Wish I would have read this first. We are in the same boat.

My husband and I installed Pebble Paving over concrete around our pool in San Diego. We liked it very much, but at least every other year you should have it resealed or you'll lose the pebbles.

Regarding arbitration.

If you're going through the BBB be careful. The BBB protects it's members. PERIOD. I no longer bother with the BBB because any company bad or good can receive an A+ rating.

Just pay the dues money and you're a member in good standing. They wouldn't even post my complaint which related to over charging, their driver tried to charge me a daily fee to "store" my items on his truck!!! Their driver couldn't find the house, so I had to find the truck parked on the highway and lead them to it.

They sold me phony insurance, later telling me that they weren't allowed to sell insurance. The BBB thought it was all perfectly fine.

HORRIBLE! I would never recommend this company.

They were never on task and hardly ever returned our calls. They had to redo our waterfall after it was completely finished and didn't even tell me that they were doing it. They never told me what was going on and when to expect contractors in my backyard. I had to pay over three hundred dollars to board my dog, they had to totally redo the kitchen they built because they forgot to install a waterline for our ice maker, they had to take out our 3000 dollar grill because they ordered the wrong one and then it had to be re-grouted, there are cracks all over our pool and there are stains on the plaster everywhere, they didn't show us how to clean the pool with the Polaris or the vacuum, they were full of excuses and told my husband it was my fault they were a month late on the finish date and our ice maker was two months late.

Then argued with us all the time and tried to lie about the start date. They took off three weeks before the finish date and were never heard from again and made this poor pool guy clean up their dirty work. They always had someone and something else more important to tend to even though we spent thousands and thousands of dollars to them to build our pool. Very unprofessional and rude.

They fired two of their guys during our build. Then blamed the rain for the delay which it rained maybe three days out of 60 days it took them to build our pool.
